USA

May 26, 2009 3:39 PM
Hola! It been a week or so... And it's been about two weeks sence I
left Honduras. I'm back now!
This visit to the USA was great! I got to see Anna tie the knot and go
on a hike through a lava river cave in Bend Oregon. The I spent a few
day in New Hampshire going through my belongings before my parents
move out of NH for good. The house and the lake will be missed. Then I
ended my trip back in Boston with my favorite Chinese food joint in
Bostons Cbinatown, Hong Kong Eatery. The food there is so good and
priced just right. Although it does lack ambiance. But it does have
the Hong Kong authenticity. It's decorated with picture of Hong Kong
throughout the last century as it grew into a busy metropolis. And I
got to see a movie, Terminatir Salvation, which I need to see again to
form a better opinion cause it really wasn't that good. It seemed very
similar to it predecesors. I hear I need to see Star Trek. So that's
on the list but won't see that unless I take a trip to the mainland.
So now I sit in the smelly cigar bar in the San Pedro Sula airport
waiting for my bus. Annemarie has taken a walk around to get out of
this smokie place, not sure if I'll ever see her again.
We spent last night in Miami and checked out Miami Beach. Which was a
very agressive place it seemed. Guys walking around harrasing every
girl they saw. I even saw some guys sit down at a table of two girls
and begin chatting with them and eating their food! Messed up! The
girls weren't into it. But still did nothing dramatic to end the
situation. Anyway it just didn't seem like a place I would enjoy
spending an extended period of time. And a friend of mine couldn't
even make a 40 minute drive to see me! Guess that's Miami for ya.
But back to Honduras... So we wait for the bus to La Ceiba for the
night then take the ferry to Roatán in the morning.
We are thinking about renting a scooter and touring the island. I
haven't seen the east end of it yet so I'm excited for the adventure.
More to come...
